Volusia County Closes Two More Boat Ramps Due to Elevated Water

Posted On: October 13, 2026

Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Division has temporarily closed two boat ramps due to elevated water levels along the St. Johns River:

  • Highbanks Boat Ramp, 499 Highbanks Road, DeBary
  • Lake Ashby Boat Ramp, 1151 Commercial Ave., New Smyrna Beach

Additionally, Mariner's Cove Park Boat Ramp, 1199 Enterprise-Osteen Road, Enterprise, which was closed Oct. 9, remains closed.

Volusia County staff will reopen the boat ramps when water levels have receded sufficiently to allow for safe use. Residents and visitors can continue enjoying boating opportunities at other Volusia County boat ramps. For a list of County-operated boat ramps and their locations, visit www.volusia.gov/boatramps.
